“Be Happy Now, Feel Good Now. That’s the only thing you have to do” – Rhonda Byrne
Well, still not too good at blogging – it is a skill and I do not really have it yet. However, I am still determined to do better.
I love the above quote – it reminds me of a country song a few years ago with the words “all you’ve got to do is live and die and I’m in a hurry and don’t know why”. That’s me. Seems like I am always in a hurry and always have TOO many things to do – so, I get nothing done. Does that make sense? Another quote: “the hurrier I go, the behinder I get”. I love this because that is also ME. I believe we forget sometimes to “be happy now, feel good now”. I know that I do. As I have said before, I am “retired” now. I put that word in quotes because I seem to be busier now than ever. I do not remember how I used to work 50-60 hours per week and still do other things, but somehow I did. Seems the more time I have, the more time I can waste. On the other hand, the more time I have, the more things I WANT to do. I have way too many projects on my plate. And while I may get overwhelmed at times, I do find that I am happier when I have a lot of things going on (not too many).
It is also sad that time seems to be going so much faster now than before. It is true, time flies!
My grandkids are also getting older – so I don’t see them as much as when they were little – and especially since school is in session. I do miss that, but I have to remember that I am still an important part of their lives even though I don’t seem them every day. I hope they will remember me fondly, haha.
Ryan is busy also – even though he is pretty much homebound when he is not in school, but I try to visit with him at least once a week and catch up. He is a mess and very opinionated.
I have not done much marketing for Ryan’s book. It bothers me on one level, but on the other hand, I did what I set out to do – I told Ryan’s story.
BUT – on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 10:00 Ryan and I are going to the Rutherford County Library to sign and sell copies of his book. He LOVES doing that.
so, for those who have read Ryan’s book and enjoyed it, A HUGE THANK YOU. For those who haven’t read it yet, I hope you will do so.
And if anyone needs a gift for a special child, please consider Ryan’s Book. He would be so honored.
Please check on book overview for a link to order.
